Heroic Episodes

Award Winning Producer Joe Mantegna

Heroic Episodes https://heroicepisodes.org/ will effectively positions veterans to rejoin the workforce in the film and aviation industries.

A film set offers veterans a chance to heal as they experience the camaraderie they miss and the opportunity to explore and discover how their military training can be applied to the vast number of jobs in the film and the aviation industries.

Our current mission is the development of the tv series Heroic Episodes as a crucial partner to the Veterans Drone Training Program. The ongoing series will provide continued job opportunities for veterans as cast, crew and Part 107 Commercial Drone Camera Pilots.

The goal of the series is to reduce the number of unemployed veterans, homeless veterans, disabled veterans and veterans who succumb to suicide.

Veteran Drone Training Program

Part 107 Drone Trainin“The sky’s the limit” — a fitting motto for the Veterans Drone Training Program (VDTP).

This program offers veterans the opportunity to train, prepare, and test for their FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot License, while also providing pathways to careers in the film and aviation industries.

Recognizing that PTSD can often be a barrier to quality of life, the VDTP incorporates a mental wellness component to help participants manage anxiety and stay focused on learning. A unique element of the program, A Write to Heal, adds therapeutic writing sessions, fostering emotional resilience and personal growth.

With the support of our partners at 22 Zero, the program not only empowers veterans with technical skills but also supports their healing journey—leading to a high graduation success rate and new beginnings in both life and career.

A Write to Heal

Writing to Heal

The writing program will offer trauma survivors an alternative way to express their stories and to heal. Writing as a tool can provide mental wellness and allow trauma to be empowering instead of demoralizing.

Lisa Regina’s survival combined with her years of research and documented interviews with domestic violence survivors, veterans and their families led her to create the

Write to Heal Program.

This writing program has been added as a mental wellness component of the Veterans Drone Training Program.

“Following my assault, my pad and pen helped me through the darkest times. Pouring my pain out onto paper has been a big part of my healing process.” _Lisa Regina
